The Book

This is an authentic testimony about the beginning of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, seen through the prism of events at the Sarajevo Airport, in April and May 1992. The book is about how 30,000 people, mostly women and children, were rescued through the Sarajevo Airport, about how the airport was saved from destruction, about the attempts to prevent a rushing to war.

Behind the official presentation of the events:
Who was for peace in 1992, and who was for war?
How the snipers were brought to Sarajevo?
Airport Sarajevo - a strategic point; the port of salvation.
Karadzic: "We made a terrible mistake!"
Kukanjac: "One nil, Alija!"
Alija Izetbegovic: "Am I arrested?"
Who and when has decided to begin the war in Bosnia?
How did the UN take over the airport?

The main heroes of the book are domestic and foreign politicians and military leaders, the citizens of Sarajevo, airport workers, pilots and members of the JNA at the airport.
